Radtel P8 PoC – network two-way radio, set of 2 with SIM cards

Radtel P8 – PoC (Push-to-Talk Over Cellular) two-way radio

The Radtel P8 is a pair of compact two-way radios using PoC technology, that is, push-to-talk communication over the cellular network instead of classic radio waves. As a result, the communication range is not limited to a few kilometers as with traditional walkie-talkies, but depends on the coverage of the operator's cellular network.

How PoC communication works

Each device has a SIM card with a data plan installed and is ready to make calls as soon as it is turned on, without additional configuration. Users communicate just as on a classic walkie-talkie – with one press of the push-to-talk button – the difference being that the signal is sent over mobile internet.

Use

It works well for coordinating teams spread over a large area, for example construction crews, logistics, outdoor event organizers or groups on trekking trips, where the range of an ordinary radio would be insufficient.

Battery and housing

The radios are charged via a USB-C port, and the durable housing is suited to use in the field and in industrial conditions.
