Bronson TI-1500 – 110V/230V voltage transformer

A voltage converter that lets you use American 110-120 V equipment in Europe and European 220-240 V devices in countries with a 110 V grid. It works well with kitchen, music, photographic, studio, scientific and industrial equipment that requires a different supply voltage than the local installation.

Design and operation

The unit uses a high-efficiency toroidal core, which provides quiet operation and a clean sine wave output, which matters when powering interference-sensitive equipment, e.g. in a recording studio or bedroom. The NEMA outlet supports devices with a US plug (110-120 V), while the Schuko and UK type outlets support 220-230 V devices.

Power and use

Maximum output power reaches 1500 W for short-term loads (e.g. a kitchen mixer, blender, coffee grinder) and up to 1200 W for longer operation (e.g. a stereo amplifier, pressure cooker, steamer). Both output directions – 110 V and 220-230 V – have surge and overcurrent protection.

Safety

The converter has built-in temperature control and protection against overcurrent and short circuit – if any fault is detected, the unit switches itself off automatically.
