Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 16GB – e-book reader, black

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite

The latest generation of the popular e-book reader, described by the manufacturer as the fastest Kindle in the brand's history. It has a 7-inch Paperwhite display with higher contrast and 25% faster page turns compared with earlier models.

Display and reading

The larger, anti-glare screen is meant to provide a sharp page image regardless of lighting conditions, including in full sun. The backlight can be smoothly adjusted from white to amber, which makes reading easier both during the day and in the evening. The device does not support social media or notifications, so it keeps your attention on reading alone.

Battery and water resistance

A single charge is meant to last for many weeks of reading, depending on how intensively it is used. The reader is waterproof, so you can take it to the pool, the bath or the beach without worrying about accidental contact with water.

Storage and library

16 GB of internal storage lets you keep thousands of books at once, and access to the Kindle Store gives you a choice of millions of titles.
