HD Retrovision - YPbPr component video cable for PlayStation 2/3

A specialized component video cable designed to connect a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3 console to a TV or other equipment with YPbPr inputs. It is a solution for fans of older games who want a sharper picture than with a standard composite connection.

Applications

For games and software that require a 240p video mode - this applies to most PS1 titles run through a PS2 and some PS2 games - the TV or display must support 240p video over the YPbPr input in order to benefit from this cable.

Supported standards

The cable supports video standards compatible with the PlayStation 2 (240p60, 480i60, 480p60, 1080i60, 288p50, 576i50) and the PlayStation 3 (additionally 720p50/60, 1080p50/60, 576p50). It is made as a braided cable with a nominal impedance of 75 ohms, with aluminum foil and braid shielding.
