The Polk Audio Monitor XT60 is a freestanding speaker designed for home theater and music systems. The speaker is sold individually, which lets you expand your system gradually or pick a pair to match components you already own.

Sound and construction

At the heart of the speaker is a 6.5-inch woofer assisted by two passive bass radiators, which provide the powerful, controlled bass characteristic of the Polk brand. The tweeter with a polyester dome delivers clean, high-resolution sound that works well for playing music from streaming services in Hi-Res quality.

Use in multichannel systems

The Monitor XT60 is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X standards, so it can be used as a front or surround speaker in a home theater system based on a modern AV receiver. The speaker has an impedance of 8 ohms and works with both 4- and 8-ohm amplifiers.

Build

The cabinet is made of MDF, which ensures a rigid structure and limits unwanted cabinet vibrations at higher volume. The speaker is 90 cm tall and is designed to stand directly on the floor.
