AIYIMA T20 – tube HiFi preamplifier with XLR and RCA inputs

AIYIMA T20 – tube preamplifier for a home HiFi system

The AIYIMA T20 is a tube preamplifier created for high-end home audio systems. It combines the classic, warm tube sound with modern electronics, offering both a distinctive sound character and a low noise level.

Tube section

The device uses ECC83 vacuum tubes operating at up to 180 V, which gives music a warm, rich sound while preserving a wide dynamic range. After the first power-on, the tubes need 3-5 minutes to warm up, after which the device reaches optimal operating conditions.

Electronics and parameters

The preamplifier is built around a fully balanced circuit with LME49720 and OPA1612 op-amps, achieving a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 112 dB and harmonic distortion of around 0.003%. The three socketed operational amplifiers can be swapped for other models (e.g. LM4562, NE5532, OPA2604) to tune the sound character to your own preferences.

Connectivity

The T20 offers balanced XLR inputs and outputs as well as standard RCA, and an additional 12 V trigger output lets you automatically switch on a connected power amplifier together with the preamplifier. The device works with DACs, CD players, digital players and TVs.

Build

The housing is made of CNC-milled aluminum in a black sandblasted finish with a red ring on the knob, which gives the device a solid, premium look.
