A universal adapter that lets you connect hard drives and optical drives with IDE and SATA connectors to a computer through a single USB 3.0 port. It is a practical solution for recovering data from old drives or creating external storage from unused media.

Use

The adapter supports 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives in the IDE and SATA standards, as well as CD/DVD-RW drives. This way one device can handle both older drives with a parallel port and newer SATA media.

Speed and performance

Thanks to the USB 3.0 interface, data transfer reaches up to 5 Gbit/s, which speeds up copying large files, such as photo or video libraries, compared with the older USB 2.0. The adapter is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.0.

Installation and power

The device works on a plug and play basis, with no need to install drivers on Windows, macOS and Linux. A 12V/2A power adapter is included to power connected 3.5 inch drives.
