TP-Link MC220L - Gigabit Ethernet to fiber media converter

The device converts a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) signal to a fiber optic link, allowing you to extend the network beyond the limit of a copper cable - typically up to 550 m on multimode fiber and up to 10 km on single-mode fiber, depending on the SFP module used.

Applications

The converter is suited to linking buildings, extending a company network or connecting an access point located far from the main network cabinet, where running a copper cable is impractical.

Features

The SFP port supports hot-swapping of the module, which makes servicing easier without switching the device off. The converter complies with the IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE 802.3z standards.
