D.O.M. Olive wood square block 60x60x200 mm - craft blank

D.O.M. Raw olive wood square block 60x60x200 mm

An olive wood block is a natural material for woodworking and craft projects, made in Germany by the brand D.O.M. Die Olivenholz Manufaktur. Olive wood is characterized by a very distinctive, unique grain pattern - each piece differs in shade and structure, which makes it a one-of-a-kind material.

Uses

The 60x60x200 mm block is excellent for turning on a lathe, for example to make knife handles, tool handles, turned pens or small decorative items. It also works as a raw material for hand carving and other woodworking hobby projects.

Material characteristics

The wood is left raw, lightly and naturally oiled with olive oil, with no varnishes or chemical additives, so it keeps its natural scent and the properties typical of olive wood - high hardness and resistance to cracking compared with many European species. The manufacturer pays particular attention to selecting blocks with a distinctive grain.
