Dust barrier doors for passageways during renovation

A temporary foil partition, installed in a doorway for the duration of renovation, separates the room under construction from the rest of the home. The solution limits the spread of dust from sanding, drilling or painting into neighboring rooms.

Construction

• The 100 micron film is tear-resistant while still letting light through.
• A double-sided U-shaped zipper runs along both sides of the opening, facing the dusty side.
• Velcro holds the door open while carrying tools and materials, leaving your hands free.

Durability

A strong zigzag seam joins the film to the zipper, so the construction withstands repeated opening and closing. When the work is finished, the door just needs wiping down to prepare it for the next use.

Installation

Installation takes a few minutes: just clean the door frame, stick the top edge on with masking tape, and then taping the sides and bottom gives a tight, dust-proof closure of the opening. The set includes two doors.
