Schwalbe SV19 - bicycle inner tubes 27.5/28/29 inch, Presta valve, 2

Schwalbe SV19 - bicycle inner tubes

A bicycle inner tube is a rubber tube filled with air, placed inside the tire and responsible for its springiness. The Schwalbe SV19 is a popular universal inner tube that fits wheels of 650B, 27.5 inch, 28 inch and 29 inch sizes, used on touring, trekking, cross and mountain bikes.

Material and valve

The inner tube is made of butyl rubber, which holds air pressure well and resists air seeping through the wall. It uses a Sclaverand (French, also known as Presta) valve about 40 mm long, popular on sports bikes, which requires its own pumping system or an adapter for pumps with a Schrader head.

Compatibility

Thanks to the wide range of supported tire widths - from about 1.5 to 2.4 inches (equivalent to ETRTO 40 to 62 mm) - the inner tube fits most bicycle tires in these wheel diameters, from narrow cross tires to wider mountain bike tires.

Package contents

The package contains two inner tubes and a SKS tire lever, which makes it easier to remove and fit a tire without damaging the inner tube when repairing a puncture or replacing tires.
