A straight barbell bar is a basic element of a home or club gym, on which most weighted exercises are built: bench press, squats, deadlifts or bent-over rows. This Amazon Basics bar is 152 cm long with a sleeve diameter of 2.5 cm, which lets you load standard cast iron or rubber-coated (bumper) plates with a 2.5 inch hole.

Solid construction

The bar is made of chrome-finished alloy steel, which protects it from corrosion and scratches with regular use. The bar's load capacity is 113 kg and its own weight is 6 kg - enough to provide stability during dynamic exercises, and light enough to maneuver the barbell freely between sets.

Secure grip

Non-slip, knurled grip zones are milled along the length of the bar, improving hand traction even with sweaty hands. This lets you focus on exercise technique rather than holding the barbell, which matters especially when working with heavier weights.

Securing the load
