Sidas ski boot shin guards
Sidas ski shin guards are small gel inserts placed inside the shaft of a ski boot to reduce pain and chafing around the shin. This is a problem many skiers face - the hard, stiff construction of ski boots can press heavily on the front of the shin, especially on longer runs or when skiing in an aggressive stance.
Material and technology
The product is made of patented Silitene silicone gel, which evenly spreads the boot's pressure on the shin bone and cushions localized chafing. The shape of the guards is anatomically matched to the line of the shin, so they fit the leg well and do not shift while skiing. They attach with hook-and-loop fasteners, making them easy to put on and take off without additional accessories.
Uses
The guards are worn under the ski sock or directly on the shin, before putting on the ski boot. They are particularly useful for people with sensitive or bony shins and with new, not yet broken-in boots whose shaft can be stiffer. The universal size (maximum 150 x 105 mm) fits most adult ski boots.
Care
The silicone gel can be washed by hand, which keeps the guards clean throughout the ski season without losing their cushioning properties.
