BORDSTRACT electric motor speed switch 12/24V - 5-speed for trolling

BORDSTRACT electric motor speed switch 12/24V

This marine accessory is a speed switch designed for electric outboard motors used on fishing and recreational boats, also known as trolling motors. It lets you smoothly regulate the drive speed without replacing the entire controller, making it a practical piece of equipment for any boater using small vessels.

Construction and materials

The switch housing is made of durable plastic, and the contacts of copper, which provides good current conductivity and resistance to high loads. The unit is wall-mounted (e.g. in the boat cockpit) and operated manually with a hinged lever. IP65 protection protects the inside of the device from dust and water splashes, which matters a lot when working in marine and inland conditions.

Operating parameters

The switch handles a working voltage of 24 V and works with 12 V or 24 V electric motors up to 1000 W. There are 5 speed positions, which lets you precisely match thrust to conditions on the water - from quiet approach at the fishing spot to a faster run between fishing grounds. A normally open contact and a through-hole design make it easy to connect to the motor's existing electrical installation.

Uses

It works as part of the boating equipment for electric outboard motors fitted to boats, inflatables and powered kayaks. It is a typical service accessory - a good option when replacing a worn or damaged switch with a new one, without interfering with the rest of the drive system.
