JBL Control 2P – compact active monitor

The JBL Control 2P is a small, active studio monitor that can serve as both a main speaker and a monitoring speaker in a home studio or small PA installation. The compact housing holds a 13.5 cm low-mid driver, providing a frequency response from 80 Hz to 20 kHz.

Inputs and outputs

The monitor has a stereo input supporting both balanced (XLR/jack combo) and unbalanced (RCA) signals, and an additional output lets you connect a passive monitor speaker to work as a pair. A 3.5 mm headphone output is also available for direct monitoring.

Power and use

The built-in amplifier delivers 2x 35 W of power, reaching a maximum SPL of 111 dB. The crossover frequency is set to 4.2 kHz. The speaker can be wall-mounted or placed as a desktop speaker, which makes it a versatile solution for home and studio applications.
