EMOS J6014 - DVB-T2 HEVC set-top box terrestrial TV tuner with remote

EMOS J6014 - DVB-T2 terrestrial TV tuner

The EMOS J6014 tuner is a DVB-T2 set-top box supporting the modern H.265 HEVC compression standard, so it receives both older and current terrestrial TV channels in Full HD quality. It is a solution for older TVs without a built-in digital tuner, and also for people who want to use additional recording and media playback functions.

Connectors and compatibility

The device has an HDMI 1.4 port, a SCART output for older TVs, a coaxial connector and a USB 2.0 port for connecting a flash drive. This lets the terrestrial TV tuner connect to practically any TV, regardless of its age.

Functions

The set-top box offers an electronic program guide (EPG), teletext and a media player supporting photos, music and videos from USB storage. The PVR function with a Timeshift option lets you record the program you are watching to a flash drive or pause live broadcast and return to it later.

Operation and installation

The menu is available in 22 languages, including Polish, and automatic channel tuning makes first configuration easier. The set includes a remote control with an infrared sensor, which can be placed away from the set-top box itself, for example on a shelf in front of the TV.
