Ganesha Arts Ganesha statuette in 925 silver, 3 cm, approx. 20 g

Ganesha statuette in 925 silver

A miniature figurine of Ganesha, the Indian deity associated with overcoming obstacles and new beginnings, cast in 925 sterling silver. The god sits on a small pedestal with his legs folded, and at his feet you can see a mouse, his traditional companion and mount. This small Ganesha statuette is about 3 cm tall and weighs about 20 grams, and is also close to the figure known as Ganpati.

Use

Such a silver figurine ends up on a home altar, desk or souvenir shelf. It is sometimes given at the opening of a business, a house move and during holidays, as a symbol of good luck. For collectors of small objects it is also an interesting piece, because it combines craftsmanship, religious symbolism and a precious material.

Care

Silver tarnishes over time. Wipe the statuette with a soft cloth, and in case of dark tarnish use a gentle silver cleaner. Store it in a dry place, separately from other metal objects, to avoid scratches. A small silver sculpture works well as a personal talisman or a thoughtful, symbolic gift for someone interested in Indian culture, yoga or meditation. The glossy finish emphasizes the details of the figure, and the small size lets you place the figurine almost anywhere.
