Schicker Mineral – diabase paving grit 2–5 mm, 25 kg bag

Crushed diabase aggregate in a 2–5 mm fraction, intended as a bedding layer under paving stones and patio slabs. The angular grains wedge together, creating a load-bearing and even base that limits shifting and rocking of the elements even on driveways.

Aggregate properties

Diabase is a hard rock, resistant to frost, road salt and abrasion. Thanks to this, the bedding keeps its roughness, does not polish quickly and stays stable through freeze-thaw cycles. The 2–5 mm fraction also supports water drainage from the layer, which reduces the risk of frost damage.
