Akua Intaglio is a thick printmaking ink developed for intaglio printing, that is, techniques in which the ink goes into the recesses of the plate: etching, engraving and drypoint. This intaglio printing ink has a soy-based binder, so it does not require toxic solvents, and plates are cleaned with a dry cloth or dish soap.

The package contains 200 ml of carbazole violet. The ink is heavily pigmented, and the pigments used are lightfast, so prints keep their color intensity for a long time. The consistency is stiff and thick, which makes it easier to keep lines sharp.
