Lumines II on PSP – arcade music game with block stacking

Lumines II is the sequel to a popular arcade game for the Sony PSP handheld console. It combines stacking falling blocks with dynamic electronic music: the board reacts to the rhythm, and a special timeline sweeps across the screen and clears matched colored squares. The rules are simple but require reflexes and planning several moves ahead.

Gameplay

• arranging two-color blocks into larger rectangles of the same color,
• many visual themes, each with its own soundtrack,
• challenge mode, single-player mode and head-to-head mode,
• increasing difficulty and skins unlocked during play.

Who it is for

The game suits people who like short, engaging sessions on a handheld console. It is excellent for travel, because a single round lasts a few minutes, while the audiovisual presentation keeps you playing longer.
