Karlak 643445 – rubber seal for a windshield washer pump

The seal, also called a grommet, seats the washer pump in the fluid reservoir and prevents leaks. When the rubber hardens or cracks, washer fluid starts to seep out and the pump loses its seal. Replacing this small part is cheaper than buying a whole pump.

Application

The producer states that the seal is compatible with many Citroën models. The number 643445 will help you choose the right part; to be sure, compare it with the old grommet removed from the car.

Features

• rubber resistant to wear and changing weather conditions,
• a shape that reproduces the dimensions of the original, so it fits tightly,
• simple installation without specialist tools,
• country of manufacture: China.

Why replace it

A tight washer pump seal helps keep the windshield cleaning system working, which translates into better visibility and driving safety in rain and in winter. After installation, top up the fluid and check that there are no leaks where the pump is seated and that the whole system works properly.
