Sandman. Preludes and Nocturnes. Volume 1

The first volume of Neil Gaiman's cult series, where for many readers the adventure with ambitious graphic novels begins. This is a comic for adults in the best sense of the phrase: dark, literary and full of references to mythology, history and literature.

What the story is about

Morpheus, the lord of dreams, is imprisoned by occultists and remains captive for decades. When he finally regains his freedom, he must find the lost symbols of his power and rebuild his own kingdom. His journey leads him, among other places, to hell and through the human world, where dreams have slipped out of control.

Who it is for

The Sandman series is a proposal for a mature reader – the story deals with difficult topics, and some scenes are horror in nature. The album will work as a gift for lovers of fantasy, horror and literature, and also as the beginning of a collection of the whole cycle published by Egmont.
