Stihl MS 162 - petrol chainsaw 1.2 kW, 30 cm guide bar

Stihl MS 162 - lightweight petrol chainsaw with 30 cm guide bar

The Stihl MS 162 is a compact petrol chainsaw designed for work in a home woodlot, orchard and garden. It handles trimming branches, cutting firewood, clearing windfall and small carpentry jobs well.

Power and equipment

The saw has a 1.2 kW engine and a 30 cm guide bar. This combination provides a good balance between performance and low weight, so the machine does not tire you during longer work and is easy to maneuver between branches.

Who it is for

• for owners of plots with trees,
• for preparing fireplace wood,
• for caring for fruit trees and hedges,
• as a first petrol saw for beginners.

The Stihl brand has produced equipment for forestry and gardening for decades, and wear parts such as chains and guide bars are easy to get. When working, use protective clothing, gloves, and eye and ear protection.
