JBL Stage3 527 – 13 cm car speakers

The JBL Stage3 527 is a pair of 2-way coaxial speakers with a diameter of 13 cm (5.25 inches). Protective grilles are included, so the speakers can also be mounted in visible places, for example on the rear parcel shelf.

Construction

• UV-resistant polypropylene woofer cone
• Plus One cone with a 35% larger surface area
• balanced silk tweeter
• 3 ohm impedance

Sound

Power of 40 W RMS and 200 W peak with 91 dB sensitivity gives a noticeably louder and fuller sound than typical factory speakers. The design has passed tests for the temperature and humidity found in a car.

Installation tips

Before buying, measure the diameter of the opening and the mounting depth in the door or on the shelf, and check whether your car needs a mounting adapter. When connecting, keep the plus and minus wires in the correct polarity so the bass is not cancelled out. Best results come from additionally damping the door with a sound-deadening mat.
