JBL Stage1 61F – a basic audio upgrade in the door

The Stage1 61F is a pair of 16.5 cm coaxial car speakers designed to replace weak factory speakers. The baskets have several mounting hole patterns, so in many cars they fit without adapters, and the absence of grilles lets you hide them behind the original door grille.

Construction

A UV-resistant polypropylene cone handles midrange and bass, and the highs are delivered by a centrally placed mylar dome tweeter. The speakers pass temperature and humidity tests typical for a car interior.

Installation

• impedance 4 Ω,
• 8 mounting clips and 8 screws included,
• they will play with a factory radio or with a small amplifier,
• they work well as a front pair in a city car or as a rear pair with a stronger front.
