JBL Tune 720BT - wireless on-ear headphones, 76 h battery life, purple

JBL Tune 720BT - lightweight on-ear headphones for long days

The Tune 720BT is a model people buy mainly for its battery: according to the manufacturer, it lasts about 76 hours of listening. With a daily hour of commuting both ways, that means charging once every few weeks. And when the power does run out, 5 minutes on a USB-C cable gives about 3 hours of playback.

Design

The ear cups with 40 mm drivers rest on the ears with soft cushions, the headband is padded, and the whole thing weighs about 220 g. The ear cups fold inward, so the headphones fit in a smaller backpack. They do not have active noise cancelling - this is a simple model for music and calls.

Connectivity and controls

• Bluetooth 5.3 and connection to two devices at once,
• buttons on the ear cup for volume, tracks and calls,
• built-in microphone and access to a voice assistant,
• detachable 3.5 mm audio cable - you can listen wired when the battery runs out,
• JBL Pure Bass sound.
