JBL Clip 5 - a small speaker to clip onto your backpack

The Clip 5 is the fifth generation of JBL speakers with a built-in carabiner. The housing fits in your hand (approx. 8.6 x 4.6 x 13.5 cm), and under the fabric sits a driver with a passive bass radiator that adds the low end typical of the JBL Pro Sound.

Carabiner built into the housing

The clip is part of the body and has a noticeably wider opening than on its predecessor, so you can hook it onto a belt loop, a stroller handle or a bag strap without any fuss. IP67 protection means the speaker survives immersion in water and sand on the beach.

Power and connectivity

• up to 12 hours of playback on one charge, the Playtime Boost function adds about 3 hours,
• USB-C charging,
• Bluetooth with Auracast support - two Clip 5 speakers play in stereo, and you can also add other JBL speakers with Auracast,
• JBL Portable app with an equalizer and updates,
• partly made from recycled materials.
