CCLIFE 2617 – 7-piece car windscreen removal kit

A set of tools for cutting out bonded glass: the windscreen, rear window and fixed side windows. The kit makes glass removal easier when replacing a cracked pane, repairing corrosion of the window frame or painting the roof. It includes tools for cutting through both vinyl sealant and hard polyurethane adhesive.

Kit contents

• 1.80 m of braided steel cutting wire,
• two handles for tensioning the wire,
• double hook handle 240 mm,
• pull blade with handle and cord,
• trim release tool 275 mm,
• adhesive piercing awl 350 mm.

How it works

The awl pierces the adhesive in the corner of the glass, the cutting wire is pulled through the hole and, working with two people or using a handle as a support point, you cut the bead all the way around. The pull blade works well for short sections. This kind of windscreen cutting minimises the risk of damaging the paint and the dashboard.

The tools sit in a shaped insert, which keeps workshop glass handling tidy.
