BILITOOLS B1F91604 – reinforced strut spring compressors

A pair of compressors for squeezing the spring when replacing a shock absorber, mount or bump stop in a MacPherson strut. Without compressing the spring, the top rod nut cannot be safely undone, which is why a strut spring compressor is a basic tool for front suspension repair.

Safety

• locking hook jaws that prevent the coil from slipping off,
• an additional safety pin in each jaw,
• maximum load of 1200 kg,
• 45 carbon steel, resistant to bending.

Operation

The working jaw spread is 70–270 mm and the jaws are fully adjustable, so the compressors fit springs on passenger cars, larger sedans and light vans. The screw is driven with a socket or open-end wrench, and the compressors are always fitted as a pair, opposite each other. The set comes in a case with a moulded insert.

Work on a MacPherson strut wearing safety glasses and never leave a compressed spring unattended.
