The Glowhouse Children's Play Sand – sandpit sand 10 kg

Clean sand for play

A 10 kg bag of fine, washed sand designed specifically for children's play. The sandpit sand from The Glowhouse is made in the United Kingdom, thoroughly cleaned and sieved, so it has a uniform structure, shapes well when moistened and contains no sharp pebbles. The manufacturer states that the material has been tested in accordance with the BS EN 1177 standard for playground surfacing.

Where it works

• topping up a garden sandpit or a sandbox with a lid,
• sensory table and play container at home,
• activities in preschool, nursery or after-school club,
• building castles, sand cakes and models with molds.

Playing with sand develops fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and spatial imagination. The product is intended for children from 36 months; younger children should play only under adult supervision, and the sand must not be put in the mouth.

Storage

It is worth covering the sandpit after play so that the sand stays dry and clean. One 10 kg bag is enough for a small sensory table or to top up a small sandpit; a large garden sandpit needs several bags.
