Crucial P310 1TB – M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD

The Crucial P310 is a popular PCIe 4.0 SSD in the M.2 2280 form factor – fast, energy efficient and reasonably priced. It is great as a system drive for a home or office computer or as extra space for games. The 1 TB capacity holds the system, programs and a dozen or so games. The manufacturer's part number is CT1000P310SSD8.

Speed

According to the manufacturer, the 1 TB version reaches up to 7,100 MB/s sequential read and up to 6,000 MB/s sequential write.

A simple computer upgrade

Replacing an old HDD or SATA drive with the P310 is one of the cheapest and most noticeable upgrades: the system boots in a few seconds and programs open instantly. The drive fits computers and laptops with an M.2 NVMe slot and the PS5 (with a heatsink).

Installation and cooling

The drive has low power consumption and does not require additional cooling in typical use; in a desktop computer it can be installed under the motherboard's heatsink.
