Ilford Rapid Fixer is a concentrated liquid fixer intended for processing black-and-white photographic papers and films in a traditional darkroom. Fixing is the last stage of chemical processing after developing and the stop bath: the preparation removes unexposed silver halides from the emulsion, so the image becomes permanent and does not darken under the influence of light.

Use

The product is suitable for a home darkroom as well as for a school or art studio. The concentrate is diluted with water before use, which lets you prepare the right amount of working solution and limit its consumption. A fixer for both paper and film in a single preparation simplifies the supply of photographic chemistry.
