Jian Cheng 120135REEL - film developing reel for 35 mm, 120 and 127

Jian Cheng 120135REEL - film developing reel for the darkroom

This is a multi-format reel for developing tanks, a basic piece of equipment in every photographic darkroom where film is processed by hand. The film is wound onto the reel in complete darkness, then placed in the tank and passed through successive chemical baths: developer, stop bath, and fixer. The reel keeps the film coils spaced apart, so the solutions reach the whole emulsion evenly.

Use

The model is self-loading and supports several formats. It fits black-and-white and color 35 mm (135) film, as well as 120, 126, and 127. One reel holds one roll of 35 mm film or two rolls of 120 film, which lets you develop the material in a single cycle.

• large-format reel for Paterson and Kaiser type tanks,
• supports 35 mm, 120, 126, and 127 film,
• self-loading design makes working in the dark easier,
• lightweight and handy, weighing about 100 g.
