K&F CONCEPT ET-74B – lens hood

The ET-74B hood is a bayonet-mount lens attachment designed for the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM and EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lenses. Its main job is to limit the amount of stray light reaching the front element, which results in higher contrast and a cleaner image.

Better image quality

By extending and shading the front of the lens, the hood prevents unwanted glare and flare caused by light arriving at an angle, for example when shooting into the sun. The matte, anti-reflective interior further eliminates ghosting and vignetting effects.

Convenient, reversible design

The hood can be mounted in reverse, which allows compact storage of the lens in a bag without removing the accessory. The bayonet mount allows quick attachment and removal, and use of 67 mm filters and attachments remains possible even with the hood on.

Durable build

The hood is made of durable ABS plastic, resistant to accidental knocks, shaking and scratches, which protects the lens edge during everyday use in the field.

Included

A microfiber cloth is included with the hood, useful for cleaning the lens and the hood itself.
