KS Tools 140.2112 - fluted bodywork dolly 120 mm

A professional bodywork dolly from the German brand KS Tools, also known in workshops as a body dolly block. It is held against the underside of a dented panel while the metal is tapped with a hammer from the other side, so the metal returns to its original shape without stretching and without a lot of filler.

What the fluting is for

The convex fluted surface with fine grooves absorbs tension and "shrinks" metal that has been stretched by impact. This is especially useful when straightening flat doors, fenders or hoods, where a smooth dolly would cause waviness. The working part is painted red, and the rest of the body is polished.
