Nordic Lifting Megin shoes are specialist footwear created for strength training, weightlifting and powerlifting. Unlike typical running shoes, they have a raised, stable wedge sole that improves body position during squats and snatches.

Stability instead of cushioning

The cushioning level here is deliberately minimal to moderate - in strength training what matters most is a stable, secure footing on the ground, not the soft cushioning typical of running shoes. The sole made of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) provides a solid base under load.

Construction and fastening

The upper is made of polyurethane with mesh inserts, which provides breathability during intense effort. The hook-and-loop closure additionally stabilizes the foot in the shoe, limiting unwanted foot shifting during dynamic movements such as the clean or a barbell squat.

Non-slip sole

The bottom of the shoe has non-slip properties, which matters when working on a mat or lifting platform, where secure footing translates directly into the lifter's safety.
