Plastic body filler spreaders – set of 8

Flexible plastic spreaders in four widths, two pieces of each. These are popular Japanese spreaders, used in paint shops for applying and smoothing filler compounds. The smooth edge conforms to the curves of the body, so applying filler gives a thin, even layer that is easier to sand afterwards.

Use

Most often they serve as body spreaders when repairing dents and rust spots: polyester car body filler, fiberglass filler or spray filler. They work equally well for skim-coating walls, wood, sealants, silicone and resins. Narrower spreaders are useful in recesses and at edges, wider ones on doors and hoods.

After work, just scrape off the compound before it hardens.

Specifications

The spreaders are light and cheap to use, so it is worth having separate ones for polyester compounds and for finishing compounds, so that residue from one does not contaminate the other.
