QWORK WD42450 – butyl tape for roof sealing

White self-adhesive butyl tape is a practical addition to roof coverings. It works for sealing seams, sheet metal overlaps, flashing joints and small leaks that lead to water ingress. The roll is 5 cm wide and 5 m long.

Applications

Butyl tape sticks to many materials, such as metal, plastics and wood. It can be used on roofs, by gutters, in caravans and for joining pipes. This makes it a convenient solution for quick repairs on a building site and around the home.

Resistance

The manufacturer states an operating temperature range of -50 to 130 degrees C. The tape is waterproof and UV resistant, so it is suitable for outdoor installation where it is exposed to rain and sun.

Installation

Clean and dry the surface, remove the protective film, apply the tape and press it down firmly to get a tight seal.
