This is the lens with the longest zoom range in Sony's E-mount lineup. Focal lengths from 200 to 600 mm let you photograph birds, wild animals, sports and aircraft from a long distance. The zoom works internally, so the length of the lens does not change when you change the focal length, which improves balance on a tripod.

Working in the field
