Sony SA-SW5 – 300 W wireless subwoofer for Sony soundbars, black

Sony SA-SW5 – powerful bass for your soundbar

Expanding a home theater system

The SA-SW5 is a 300 W wireless subwoofer designed to work with selected Sony soundbars, for example from the HT-A series. Once paired, it adds deep, dynamic bass to the sound, which gives more weight to effects in films and games and a fuller sound to music.

Construction

• 18 cm woofer driver
• 300 W output power
• omnidirectional, compact enclosure
• diaphragm with concentric cuts that reduce stress
• wireless connection to the soundbar

Placement

The subwoofer is freestanding and does not require a signal cable; it only needs to be plugged into a wall outlet. You can place it beside the sofa or in a corner of the room, wherever the bass sounds best. Before buying, check whether your Sony soundbar supports this subwoofer model.

Bass from a separate subwoofer takes the load off the soundbar, so dialogue stays clear even in loud action scenes. The level of low tones can be adjusted in the soundbar settings or in the app, tailoring it to the room and the time of day.
