Edifier T5s – 8-inch 70 W active subwoofer, black

Edifier T5s – active subwoofer for a home audio system

The Edifier T5s is an active subwoofer with an 8-inch woofer, designed to boost the bass in a home theater, music or gaming system. It delivers deep, clear sound that complements the sound of the main speakers.

Power and sound

The built-in amplifier delivers 70 W RMS of power, and the subwoofer reproduces frequencies down to 35 Hz. The integrated low-pass filter and adjustable frequency range let you match the bass response to the character of the music or film being played.

Construction

The enclosure made of 18 mm MDF board limits unwanted resonance, so the sound stays clean even at higher volume. The black finish with a wood-look texture suits home interiors.

Connectivity and features

The subwoofer connects by wire via an RCA input to computer speakers, bookshelf speakers or a home theater receiver – it works both with devices that have a dedicated subwoofer output and without one. The automatic standby mode switches the unit off after 30 minutes of inactivity, reducing energy consumption.
