Practical notes

A proper hitch pin should fit the hole without play, and after inserting the pin the trailer hitch should be checked by hand. It is worth always keeping spare safety pins, because small parts are easy to lose in the field. A set of eight pieces is enough for several trailers and towed tools, and the steel construction withstands the loads typical of farm work.
