Visibility and tracking of traffic on the water

The AIS 800 is a Class B AIS transponder that both transmits and receives position messages, making your boat visible to other AIS receivers in the area, while your own chartplotter shows the movement of nearby vessels. 5 W transmit power provides faster position reporting than older Class B solutions.

Built-in GPS receiver and VHF splitter

The unit has a built-in GPS receiver with the option of connecting an optional external antenna, and the internal VHF splitter allows a single antenna to serve both the VHF radio and the AIS signal at the same time, without the need to install a second antenna mast.

NMEA 2000 network integration

The AIS 800 connects to an NMEA 2000 network, which allows easy integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters and multifunction displays – data about other vessels appears directly on the navigation chart. The solution works well both on recreational boats sailing in busy waters and on vessels that more often head out on longer sea routes.
