Garmin dezlCam LGV710 MT-D – truck navigation with camera

The Garmin dezlCam LGV710 MT-D is a car navigation unit designed specifically for truck drivers, combining a large 7-inch touchscreen with a built-in camera that records the drive. After you enter the vehicle data (weight, dimensions and trailer type), the device plans a route taking into account restrictions for large vehicles, such as height limits of overpasses and tunnels or dangerous road sections.

Built-in camera

The camera records in 1080p resolution with a wide 140-degree field of view and automatically saves the footage if a traffic incident is detected. Videos go to the online Vault storage, where you can view and share them through the dēzl app on a smartphone connected to Wi-Fi. In addition, the system warns about too short a distance to the vehicle ahead and about unintended lane departure.

Maps and route planning

The device contains detailed road maps of Europe with free updates, and the BirdsEye feature lets you see your destination in a satellite bird's-eye image before you arrive. The navigation unit also supports receiving DAB traffic information, although its availability depends on the country and requires up-to-date software.

Screen, connectivity and memory

The touchscreen, 7 inches diagonally with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, is legible by day and by night. The device connects via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and stores map data on a 16 GB microSD card included in the set.
