Platform pedals are the most popular type of bicycle pedals, requiring no special footwear or clipless system. The toptrek model has a standard 9/16 inch thread that fits most mountain, trekking, road, city, BMX and electric bikes.

Construction

The pedal platform is made of reinforced nylon, resistant to shocks, wear and corrosion. The platform dimensions (130 x 115 x 19 mm) give a wide footing, improving comfort and stability while riding, including on more difficult terrain. The pedal spindle is made of chromoly steel and mounted on three sealed bearings, which protect the mechanism from sand, dust and water and ensure smooth rotation for a long time.

Grip and safety

On both sides of the platform there are eight anti-slip pins, providing secure footing for shoes, including on wet surfaces. The built-in reflectors are certified to the German StVZO standard, which increases the bike's visibility in poor visibility conditions, for example at dusk.

Installation

The pedals are marked with the letters L and R (left/right), and the set includes a flat wrench that makes it easier to screw them into the bicycle cranks.
