Sony FE 12-24 mm F2.8 GM SEL1224GM – full-frame ultra wide-angle lens

Sony FE 12-24 mm F2.8 GM (SEL1224GM)

Ultra-wide angle with F2.8 brightness

This is one of the widest fast zooms for full-frame cameras with the Sony E mount. At 12 mm the angle of view reaches approx. 122 degrees, and the constant F2.8 aperture lets you shoot in low light. The lens belongs to the professional G Master line.

Optics and autofocus

• ED glass elements and three EDD elements that reduce aberrations
• Nano AR coating that reduces reflections and flare
• fast, quiet autofocus driven by XD linear motors
• 9 aperture blades
• AF/MF switch and a programmable button on the barrel

Use

The full-frame ultra wide-angle lens works well for architecture and interior photography, landscapes and the night sky, where the F2.8 brightness makes it easier to capture stars. It is also useful for filming in tight rooms and for vlogs.
