The Crucial T705 is the flagship Gen5 SSD in the Crucial lineup, built for the fastest gaming computers and workstations. The PCIe 5.0 x4 interface gives twice the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0, so the system, games and heavy projects load in an instant. The 1 TB capacity holds the system, programs and a dozen or so games. Speed

According to the manufacturer, the 1 TB version reaches up to 13,600 MB/s sequential read and up to 10,200 MB/s sequential write. The drive will also work in a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 slot, in which case the speed is limited by the slot.

Who the Crucial T705 is for

It is a drive for gamers with an AM5 or Intel platform with an M.2 Gen5 slot, 4K/8K video editors and people working with large files – sample libraries, 3D projects or local AI models. It supports Microsoft DirectStorage, which shortens texture loading in games.

Installation and cooling

Version without a heatsink – it is installed under the motherboard's M.2 heatsink or under separate cooling. A Gen5 drive without cooling slows down under prolonged load.
