Garmin GT10HN-IF – transducer for ice fishing
The GT10HN-IF transducer is a sonar designed specifically for ice fishing. A narrow beam with an 8-16 degree beam angle lets you precisely separate the fish from the lure on the sonar image, making it easier to judge whether the jig is in the right place and whether a fish has appeared nearby.
Sonar and construction
The transducer uses an 8-pin connection and works with CHIRP technology at a rated power of 500 W, which translates into a clear, well-defined image even at greater depths under the ice. The transducer cable is silicone-coated, so it stays flexible in low winter temperatures and does not stiffen in the frost.
Kit and installation
The kit includes a foam float that keeps the transducer on the water surface in the ice hole, and a grommet and an adapter cable from an 8-pin to a 4-pin plug, allowing you to connect the transducer to fish finders that use the older 4-pin connector. It is a good complement to a winter ice fishing setup.
