Garmin GT30-THP – DownVü sonar transducer
The GT30-THP transducer is a thru-hull component designed to work with Garmin fish finders and plotters that support DownVü technology. Built of stainless steel, it is durable in contact with water and under typical conditions on a lake or at sea. The transmitting element is tilted at 16 degrees, which helps produce a clear picture of the bottom and the structure beneath the keel without additional mounting adjustment.
Use
The GT30-THP transducer works as an addition to or replacement for a factory transducer on vessels that support DownVü sonar, giving an accurate picture of the bottom, vegetation and schools of fish directly under the boat. The 12-pin connector allows direct connection to compatible Garmin devices, with no need for extra adapters.
Installation
Thru-hull installation requires drilling a hole in the bottom of the boat and seating the transducer in line with the boat manufacturer's recommendations. This type of installation provides a stable signal regardless of speed, unlike transducers mounted only on the transom.
In the box
The transducer comes with a cable terminated in a 12-pin connector, ready to plug into a compatible Garmin device.
