The Panoptix PS22-TR is a Garmin sonar transducer designed for mounting on the shaft of an electric trolling motor. Thanks to a narrow transmit beam of 20 degrees, it provides a clear, well-distinguishable picture of the bottom and objects underwater. One transducer supports two sonar imaging modes at the same time, so there is no need to install separate elements for different boat functions.

LiveVü Down and LiveVü Forward modes

LiveVü Down mode shows in real time what is happening directly under and around the boat – useful for vertical fishing and for working with groundbait. LiveVü Forward mode shows the bottom structure and fish in front of the boat at a distance of up to about 100 meters, which helps plan the approach to a fishing spot without spooking fish with the main engine.

Installation

The transducer is attached to the shaft or barrel of the trolling motor using a single-screw bracket, which lets you quickly change the element's position between operating modes without disassembling the whole mounting kit.
